Okay, so I've been obsessing over Annabeth these past few days. It's right at the top of my list for made-up children. Two questions: Do you like it better on its own or as a nickname for Anna Elisabeth/Anne Elisabeth? (and which of those do you like better?) Also, middle name suggestions (assuming it's just Annabeth and not a nickname)? I don't know why it's so hard to come up with good middle names for it. I've got Annabeth Leah and Annabeth Claire, which I like. Suggestions?

It's not really my style because it's kind of oldy, but it's definitely a twist on a classic, which is always acceptable.

Annabeth Rose
Annabeth Janine
Annabeth Camille
Annabeth Allison
Annabeth Chase
Annabeth Noelle

I like it better as a nickname for Anna Elisabeth because Annabeth sounds too "southern" to me.

I like Annabeth and I think it is it's own name. It should not be a nick name for Anna Elizabeth.
Also, I don't think it needs a middle name.

It IS a cute nn for Anna Elizabeth, but then most people would just call her Anna, I think. So I'd go with Annabeth as a full name :) I like Annabeth Claire, I think a one syllable mn is best.

Annabeth Gish is Anne Elizabeth. Which you probably already know. I was just looking her up on IMDB do see if she was Annabeth _____ Gish, but she's not. 'Cause I'm not thinking of any good nicknames for it currently.

It's not a name I would ever put on my own favourites list, but I can appreciate it on someone else. I picture a blonde child though, which is rare for me (I normally never have a visual assocation with names). I think it's quite sweet and refreshing actually.
