I love the name Lara Rhapsody and it flows nice with all things considered.
We also like the name Dominic Valor.

We like middles names with some sort of meaning and interest to them. Valor is to honor his time with the Marines, during Iraq.

the only problem with these awesome names is that the first 2 names we decided on are kinda boring...
Samantha Rose (long family history with this name)
and Scott Giovanni (FH loves the name Scott and I decided to be nice and let him have it and he's honoring his Italian heritage with Giovanni)
Mainly we chose Samantha to be able to have Sam as the NN, if there is another name to use, please let me know!

Scott Giovanni makes me think of an Italian dude wearing a kilt. These names sound funny together, and would automatically make me wonder if one parent was from Scotland and the other from Italy.

I think the first two middle names you suggested are ridiculous, but I've seen worse, so whatever floats your boat.

P.S. I don't think Lara and Dominic are boring at all - they're beautiful, strong names!

Samara has been used as a name. It's also a city in Iraq. I don't know if that's the kind of way to honor his service in the Marines that you want, though...

Hey, you're right about the place in Iraq - I forgot about that! But it's also a pretty big city in Russia, which is what I thought of first...

(Seems like most place names in Iraq hardly have "honourable" connotations in terms of the US military though :/ )

Just a sidenote, from personal experience, it's annoying and weird when one child has a "normal" name and another one has a different or unusual name. My name is Celestia Belinda and then my brother is Christopher Wayne. No one understands what was going on there.

the kids in my husband's family are: clint, matt, daniel, mark, and tishanna. it's bizarre, but you get used to it.

I reckon people are more likely to give an unusual name to a girl and a common one to a boy. That explains why the top boys' names are so stable over time compared to girls' names

Lara and Dominic are both beautiful names, both on my top 10. I like Valor too, even though it's a word, it's not a weird one.

"Sam" names:

Samanth
Samara - I love this
Saminda
Salima - I think it works. You may not.
Salome
Samar
Samira - I like this
Samina (ew. This is the name of a swim club where I live...lol)

If you picked a more unique S name than Samantha, I think you could still go with Scott because they would start with the same letter. Scott Giovanni, Samara Rose, Lara Rhapsody and Dominic Valor. I think all four of them sound great together! I don't like Rhapsody, but that doesn't matter.

It is feminine form of SAMIR

SAMIR
Gender: Masculine
Usage: Arabic
Other Scripts: سمير (Arabic)
Means "companion in evening talk" in Arabic.

INTERESTING!!! I would never use an Arabic name, but I like this one a lot, and the meaning is kind of cool.

I don't see what's wrong with Samantha, Lara, Scott, and Dominic all together. The middle names are more unique than the first names, I think the first names are all fine together.

Samantha and Lara - what's wrong with that combo? How is Lara more exotic or unusual than Samantha? It's less popular, yes, but it's still a simple, well-known name.

Dominic and Scott - again, I don't see the problem...
