Henry and Helena: What are your thoughts as a sibset? Too matchy matchy, or do you like the combo?

(Son is Henry, and Helena is one of our top choices if we have a daughter. FWIW, she'd be called "Lane" or "Lanie" most of the time.)

I think it's fine - it's not like Henry & Henrietta which I think would be too much. I take it you'd be pronouncing it He-LAY-nuh rather than HEL-eh-nuh (going from the nicknames)?

Yeah, I think with that pronunciation it's even less matchy. They're both really nice names :)

I think its really cute. Its slightly matchy but not over the top. I may be biased just because I LOVELOVELOVE the nickname Lanie.

I think it will work. My daughter's name will be Hel-E-nuh with the nickname Lena. My name is Helena as well and a lot of people said it the way you do so all of a sudden I got the nn Lana ( Lay-nuh). I think I would have like Lanie or Lane better. :)

I think it's great! Henry and Helena don't sound that much alike, so I wouldn't worry about it being too matchy.

I personally think it's a little too matchy-matchy, but it's not something that I'm like "OMG that is ridiculous!"

I love both, though.

Not too matching at all. It probably wouldn't even occur to me that they're a bit matchy, but maybe I'm just slow, lol.

Love the names.

It's slightly match-y, but not overly so.
