Is Morgan for a girl still to trendy? Also I saw the name Evalie in our family tree. I thought it may make a cute middle name. Not really for Morgan, but we've got other names on the table that it goes with.

I'm curious, would you pronounce "Evalie", Ehv-ah-lee or Ehv-ah-lye?
Because, I think Ehv-ah-lee is really pretty.

It depends on your definition of 'trendy'.

It's a name that used to be a boy's name, and that's super trendy right now. But it crossed over quite a while ago.

In 2005, Morgan was #33 in the US. So it is pretty popular.

Ah. Well, last year in Florida, Morgan was #52, so that's less trendy that the national rating. I guess, though, that doesn't really matter given your situation.

i hate the name morgan, despite having a friend who has a delightful little girl named morgan. i mean, the first syllable is MORGUE. but, it doesn't seem like a terribly popular name to me despite the ratings. but, i haven't hung out in a kindergarten classroom for several years.

Morgan probably isn't too trendy, but it was, and the name will forever scream mid-1990s to me. I have a cousin named Morgan and the name always reminds me of "morbid." Also, people go around calling her "Morg" which sounds like "morgue" which just...unpleasant. Ugh.

Evalie looks like a tryndee name -- but surprisingly, I think it's cute. For first or mn.

Morgan is a boys name and it's just ugly for a girl. I don't see how it's feminine at all, I hate it for a girl. And yes, it is still trendy and popular. Evalie is REALLY pretty! How come you don't like it for a first name? It's very feminine and soft, I love it.
