What do you think of the name Angel Genevieve?  My husband and I are stuck on this one and can;t think of any other names for our girl.

Angel is a terrible name. Plus, it strikes me as nearly a virtue name, and people with those names always turn out to be the opposite of what their name implies.

Genevieve is really lovely. Why not Genevieve Angel?

Angel, to me, is a pet-name. A term of endearment, something you call your child every so often - not permanently for the rest of her life.
Plus it reminds me of Buffy, and Peter Andre/Katie Price's daughter, 'Princess', which I personally think is very unfortunate.

Love Genevieve, and the reason you are using it :)

I'd say go with Angela Genevieve or Angelica Genevieve. Even Angelina Genevieve would be better...Angel is too "nickname-y."

I think Angel is terrible. Would you want to be a grown woman named Angel? Make it a pet name or a nickname if you want.

I LOVE Genevieve. It's beautiful.

If you like Angel, why not use it as her nickname or even a middle name? As much as it sucks, your legal name is something that can cause difficulty for you if it's not something that can sound professional. I posted about a girl I knew named Precious-Princess. How is that fair on a kid? Angel is on the same vein. It sounds cutesy and it sounds like a nickname someone couldn't let go of.

Sugary to the point of saccharine, I'm afraid...

I don't like Angel.
Genevieve is okay. When I was a child, it was rarely used and I loved it, but now I prefer the French pronunciation. (I'm assuming you're using the English.)

love Genevieve but dislike Angel.
I would prefer Angela, Angelica or Angelina with the nick name Angel.

I dislike Angel. I think it's absurd.

Angel is awful. Tack an 'a' at the end and call her Angela. You can still call her Angel if you want, as a nickname, but she'll have something a little more mature sounding when she grows up. I like Genevieve, and I like why you're using it. I think Genevieve Angel is a nicer name, personally.
