I don't like names where real words are spelled incorrectly, especially when the 'wrong' spelling is actually a real word too, but one that doesn't make sense in this context. I do like the sound and meaning of the name, though.

I personally find a season along with a type of weather as a name to be a little silly. I think it sounds pretty (although I would not use these names) but when you think about it it just seems a little, like I said, silly.

i think it's so played out. Every young mom in the 90s did that name. It really is a pet peeve name of mine. (though usually it's spelled Rain so at least that's different...)

That's a little ridiculous for me. Most importantly because "Rein" does not mean the same thing as Rain, and makes the mom/parents sound like an idiot for not researching that.

But, in the horse/equine related names, I know a girl from high school whose father was big in the horse industry and her name is Dapple Grayce, as in dapple gray, as in a friggin' horse color. *headdesk*
