[identity profile] the-pyre.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
My boyfriend and I just had a baby, named Abel. I know I've mentioned him a few times.

We got on the subject of how naming him was a real bitch, and that naming a girl would have been easier. He said he liked Eden. I think Eden is really pretty, but I don't think I can name Abel's hypothetical sister Eden because that's just a little TOO biblical paired with Abel, wdyt?

We do like biblical names, though, so what biblical girl's names would you name Abel's hypothetical sister?

My favorite biblical name is Esther, and second favorite is Rebecca.

One of the ones that don't scream Biblical (you know, no Esther, Ruth, Jezebel [lol]). Something more neutral like Rebecca, Sarah, Leah.

I looove Eden. If we happen to have two girls, the second will be Eden. Hubbyy gets to name the first girl, so that will be Harleigh.

Ruth, Selah, Bethany, Moriah (if you like the more popular Mariah but want a biblical twist)

How about Hebrew names, since you like biblical ones? I'm thinking Anavah, Hadassah (Hebrew form of Esther), Elisheva, Devora...
