A friend of mine recently had a baby girl they called Ahsoka. WDYT? How would you pronounce it?

Maybe like Osaka, Japan? That is really a bad name.

It reminds me of Ahsoka from the new series Star Wars: The Clone Wars. It's a pretty terrible animated series, so it's not really a good association. That's exactly how it's spelled on that series. It's pronounced "Uh-Soak-Uh."

I'd say Ah-so-ka/ah-saok-ka.
My second thought was the Japanese name Asuka.

I really don't like it.

Uh, it's such a lame series and such a lame, pointless character to be named after (they even kind of sexualize her and she's supposed to be a "child").

For what it's worth, I ran across a reference the other day to the name Ahsoka being the name of an ancient philosopher or something like that, and the Star Wars character being named after her. I can't remember where I read that and I haven't been able to find it again, but I don't think it's something I dreamed up because I'd never even heard the name until reading that reference.

"Real" name or not, I do think it's very awkward and unattractive.
