Can you think of any girls names that have the nickname Jack/Jackie other than Jacqueline?

I want to honor both my grandpa and my husbands grandpa with future kids - his is Donald, mine is Jack.  I want to have girl and boy versions of both names since we can't control what gender we'll have.  So far all I can think of is Jacqueline and I am not fond of the name.

It's a bit of a stretch but maybe it could be a nickname for Jocelyn?

My other thought was Jacinta.

You could always do a first/middle combination of Ja--- C--- or Ja--- K---that would allow you to derive Jack as a nn. For example: Jane Katherine or Jamie Claire.

Oooh. I like this suggestion.

I also like Jocelyn.

Since Jack was originally a nickname for John, perhaps you could choose one of the female variations of John? It'd be a bit of a stretch, but nicknames don't *have* to make sense. I knew a girl named Alyssa in high school, and everyone called her Fred! I never did find out where that one came from...

I was thinking that too. Maybe Joan, Joanna, Johanna, or Josephine. Alternatively you could do Jacqueline as a middle name. I also like the Jacinta suggestion above.

That reminds me of how I went to high school with a girl named Jessica that everyone called Tom. To the point where if you would ask for Jessica, people would look at you for a while and then say, "Oh Tom. . ." It was short for Tomato.

Middle name her Jack! When I was pregnant with DS1, our girl name was Alice Jack. I still love it! (2 sons later...and a third on the way)

Aw, Jacqueline is so sweet and elegant! It might grow on you. :)

Jacoba or Jacobina would be another option. Or just Jackie, if you don't mind her name being a bit nickname-ish.

No, but Jill or Jillian might be a cute counterpoint to use instead. You could always nickname her Jack. :)
