Daedia?

Is there anything wrong with Daedia as a name for my baby girl?
Would there be confusion in how it's pronounced?
Or is there an obvious way that the kids will tease her for it that I'm not seeing?
Is there a famous porn star or serial killer with this name?
I haven't found much when I google search it and it sounds beautiful to me.
Thanks

I've never heard that as a name.
Probably. Day dee uh? Day ee dee uh?
The first part looks like dead. Kids will tease for anything though.
I don't think so, because I don't think it's a real name.

Well... It doesn't really appear to exist, so I would say that there's something wrong with it. It looks like Daddy or Dead, to me. Are you trying to modernly feminize Daedalus?

Maybe you should go for something like Delia, Dahlia, or Delilah?

I have no idea what that name is or how to say it.

I would have no idea how to pronounce that, and it reminds me of one of those dog disease names that I can't think of at the moment.

Is there anything wrong with Daedia as a name for my baby girl? Reminds me of dead-ee-uh and it's also not really a name.

Would there be confusion in how it's pronounced? I still have no idea ho to pronounce it.

Or is there an obvious way that the kids will tease her for it that I'm not seeing? Oh you could name your kid Mary and they'd still tease.

Is there a famous porn star or serial killer with this name? Apparently it's not really a name...

Is it pronounced Day-Dee-Ah? Because that is how I am inclined to pronounce it.

I think Daedia actually sounds kinda nice. I didn't see the 'dead' part until people started pointing it out. Then again, it's not uncommon here (in The Netherlands to have words with 'ae' in them, so I don't automatically reverse the letter order.

There might indeed be some confusion over the pronunciation, but if it's pronounced Day-dee-ah then it won't be bad at all.

If you love it, you should definitely use it =).

It immediately made me think of 'dead'...

Never heard of it, so I'm guessing there would be quite some confusion over pronunciation.
I read it as "DEAD-yah", so I can't say I'm a fan. Would NOT want death have anything to do with a new life coming to the world.
Even if it were "DEED-yah", you can see where naming her this is headed...

1) I've never seen it. To be honest, it doesn't seem like an actual name. It reminds me of a disease or something... (Doesn't help that the main lettering can be re-arranged to read "dead.")
2) Probably. I'm not quite sure how to pronounce it, though I want to say Day-dia.

If it's pronounced Day-dee-uh then I suggest spelling it Daydia. If it's pronounced Dead-dee-uh then no, just no.

The way it is spelled now I automatically think "Dead".

I didn't get the dead thing that everyone else did. My first impression was that it looks somewhat Greek. But I have no idea how to pronounce and I think that would be the case for most people, based on the responses you've gotten so far.

Where did it come from? Did you see it somewhere?

I didn't get the dead thing, either. It makes sense when you think of other Greek names like Phaedra. I think it seems obvious it'd be Day-d-ya, like Nadia. It does seem made up, though. Plus, there's a lot of names that sound similar, are unique and more obvious for many reasons (spelling, popularity...).
