Inspired by yesterday's game
Look up your name rank for the year you were born at the social security administration's site: http://www.ssa.gov/OACT/babynames/ . Then, look up what your name could have been had you been born in the decades before and after your birth by finding the name at the same ranking.
Mine: 1986, Lauren Marie (14, 176)
2006: Alexis Ellie,
1996: Brittany Kirsten
1986: original
1976: Christina Kerry
1966: Deborah Evelyn
1956: Sandra Rosemary
1946: Betty Stephanie
1936: Virginia Claire
1926: Shirley Nora
1916: Florence Jeanne
1906: Frances Celia
1896: Clara Belle
1886: Grace Gladys
If I were to choose one of these names for my own, I would have to go with Virginia Claire. I think it's a great combo. Florence Jeanne is also strong, but I don't care for either name. Clara Belle is a bit too cutesy for my tastes but is also a decent combo.
The names I like sort of like are Rosemary, Betty, Virginia, Frances, and Grace.
The names I definitely like are Claire and Clara.
I also did it for my brothers, with their respective years, creating these sibsets:
Clinton Kevin, Lauren Marie, Eric Clayton
2000s: Brendan Christian and Alexis Ellie
90s/00s: Xavier Kevin, Brittany Kirsten, and Austin Levi
80s/90s: originals
70s/80s: Dale Chad, Christina Kerry, and Kevin Calvin
60s/70s: Calvin Donald, Deborah Evelyn, and Gregory Melvin
50s/60s: Vernon Jeffrey, Sandra Rosemary, and Anthony Doug
40s/50s: Milton Daniel, Betty Stephanie, and Gregory Kim
30s/40s: Hugh Arthur, Virginia Claire, and Roger Sidney
20s/30s: Jimmie Eugene, Shirley Nora, and Ralph Alexander
10s/20s: Jerome Donald, Florence Jeanne, and David Ervin
00s/10s: Willis Louis, Frances Celia, and Jack Johnie
1890s/00s: Max Paul, Clara Belle, and Louis Rudolph
80s/90s: Lonnie Daniel, Grace Gladys, and Earl Cornelius
Clint's best combo, and my favorite overall for the boys, is Hugh Arthur. Eric's best combination is Austin Levi or Ralph Alexander.
Names I sort of like: Gregory, Hugh, Alexander, Louis, and Cornelius
Names I like: Xavier and Roger
Hugh Arthur and Virginia Claire sound great together, I think. Roger Sidney, not so much. Too bad it wasn't Ralph Alexander.
