I was at the doctor's office the other day and heard the worst name, made me want to cry. I actually pinched myself to see if I was dreaming (I'd been waiting awhile and had just had a lot of blood drawn... couldv'e fallen asleep... lol).

Tarjay (possibly Target?) They pronounced it the same way people, to be funny/mock pretentious, sometimes pronounce the big-box store 'Target'.

my mom used to call Target "Tarjay"... in a really weird silly voice. between relationship to target and that silly voice ringing in my ears - there's just no way. :-S

Exactly! My best friend's mother did the same thing and it's all I can think of when I think of that 'name' now.

lol, i think my mom thought so too. i had never heard it the first time she said it, so i was like "...what?" and she said something about ~french~ and it being what all the young people call it. :P

I used to work in a doc's office... one patient (about 2 yrs old) was called Tahjay... spelled like that.
