Last night at work, I encountered a new place-name-as-a-human name: a little girl named Shenandoah. I think it would sound better on a boy, maybe because its last syllables rhyme with Noah. Either way, not the biggest fan...

Also got my high school's alumni newsletter in the mail, so here are a few recent births! Nothing in particular really stands out, with the exception of a somewhat unique middle name.

I don't hate Shenandoah nearly as much as I thought I would. I actually like it instead. I prefer it on a girl.

Cailin? Did they forget the "T"?

I don't care for alliteration in names, so I'm not fond of Logan Louis. I like both Logan and Louis, just not together.

Yeah, Wind is not my style ~at all~. Poor Angelica.

I'm pretty sure Cailin isn't a typo, as it's mentioned multiple times in the announcement and spelled that way each time. You're right though. It looks like a typo of Caitlin.

I totally agree on Logan Louis, too. A little too alliterative. That said, he'll probably only go by his first name and the alliteration won't (usually) come up. It's not as bad as, say, having your first and last names start with the same letter. Believe me, as a Katie K., I know!

And Angelica Wind...yeah...husband and I both went to h.s. with her mother and were rather surprised that she would choose a name like that. I don't know, maybe it's a family name?

I actually think Shenandoah is gorgeous. I could see it on a boy or a girl. That definitely might be a new GP name for me.
