[identity profile] caitlin94.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
Ok, I'm pregnant with boy #4 and am having a helluva time finding another name that I really like.

Our children (and ages) so far (both from previous relationships and together):

Tyler Stephen (16)
Cameron Scott (12)
Isabel Grace (8)
Donovan Wright (6)
Braeden Jeffrey (almost 2)

I really like Scottish/Irish/Gaelic/Celtic names, but am having a lot of problems finding something that hasn't been/isn't being used to death already.

FTR, baby's last name will be McDonald, so it rules out a lot of the Scottish M names I like, too. =\

Help!! =(

The first name that popped into my head was Connor, along with Liam and Shawn. I think a really good site to use is http://www.nymbler.com/, which allows you to type in the names you like, and it generates similar names. :)

The first name that sprang to mind for me was Euan/Ewan. But maybe with your last name that would end up too close to Ewan McGregor? I also really like Rhys, Cedric, Finn/Fionn, and even the trendy Maddox. If you want to go more mainstream, there's Brian, Patrick, and Kevin.

The only name I can think of that hasn't been suggested already is Duncan, which I really like btw. Good luck deciding! :)

lol I never thought of that! But if you do like the name, I wouldn't let that deter you because honestly I can think of a lot worse.

Like Tucker for example. It's NMS, but it's an okay name. I'd never use it though because of all the inevitable teasing.

Scottish, Irish, Gaelic and Celtic aren't really interchangeable. But Andrew, James, Duncan, Malcolm, Robert and Alexander are the most Scottish names I can think of off the top of my head.
