What do you think of the name Thor? Obviously for a boy and is it horrible? Maybe as a middle name?

It's not my style, but it's nifty.

Not my style, but at least it's a legit name. I'm a believer that slightly weirder things can be done as middle names.

I really don't like it, but I guess it's okay as a middle. =)

It's cool, but way over the top. Even as a mn. Like being named Zeus. :/ Keep it to GP territory.

I love it! In a geeky way. I could NEVER use it for fear of getting laughed out of my family.

Maybe Thorsten with Thor as a nickname? I do think it could be a good middle name!

It kinda looks and sounds incomplete to me. I feel like I need to add either an "n" or an "a" on the end. I think it could work as a middle name though.

I love it, but the name is kind of ruined for me. A good friend of mine has a boxer named Thor, and every time I hear the name his bubbly dog face pops up, hahaha.

My list is definitely full of its share of mythology names, but Thor doesn't really draw me in. I can't picture it on anybody. Maybe Thora, for a girl?

I knew a Thor (pronounced "Tor", it was short for Thorval) and he seemed pretty well adjusted. Not sure if it's a name I would use personally, though.

My friend named her son Travis Thor. I don't hate it, but I think it'd only be okay as a middle name.

I also know a guy in his 20s named Thoren. I don't hate it. (Rhymes with Soren.)

I actually posted about this a few months back. I know a guy that's been in some of my classes named Thor. I actually made friends with him just to find out the source of his name. He's a pretty cool guy, and although I'd never name my kid Thor (unless in some random ass turn of fate it's Thor Jr.) I don't think it's like OMG awful or anything. It fits the guy I know, though in kind of an unexpected way.

Poor kid... much better for a bloodhound.

I hate it as a name. I knew someone who named their baby that, and I imagined that somebody asked them how they felt at the same time someone asked them what they were going to name the baby. "Thor"
