The attempt to make up a name to resemble another awful trendy name really bugs me. Your thoughts?

Not great. Gracelyn, I think I've seen, and that's bad enough. I like Gray. But pushing those names together, not great.

I had a student a few years ago who had immigrated from Honduras named Greylin. She was a lovely girl and I grew to really love the name. Makes me think of some type of bird for some reason ;)

Someone did point out it sounded a lot like "gremlin" though.

My MIL had a baby she put up for adoption 35 years ago, she named her Greylin. She said it was from a book!

(My husband reconnected with his sister 7 years ago, her parents named her Tiffany- I prefer Greylin!)
