Liliana or Faith?
I am now torn between 2 baby names. I mentioned here before how her name has been Liliana for a while. It would be Lily for short. Then I suddenly really wanted her name to be Faith because I've always liked the name and it seems more fitting with recent events in my life.
I've gotten used to saying Lily but really like Faith too due to its meaning and it not being very common. But there isn't really any cute nick names for Faith either.
Anyway I need your help..Liliana or Faith and tell me why you like one over the other-thanks!

Likewise, even though a period of my life may influence my name choices simply because I like new things, I wouldn't change a name to fit recent events in my life because the child really has nothing to do with the events, if that makes sense... I would want the name to be independant so that the child doesn't have any extra, unconscious influences on her life.
that just IMHO, though - different feelings for different people :)

What I like about Liliana is that it has more nicknaming options, yet Lily is VERY popular at the moment. So you could also just call her Liliana. At the same, taking into account the events of your life that you've described before, and why you thought Faith would be fitting...I'd say use it. As either a first or middle...use it!

I'd go with Liliana- it's pretty and I had a bad experience with a Faith (holier-than-thou) growing up

If only choosing one, I'd go with Liliana- because I like Lily.
I find Faith kind of ugly (but then I think this of 99.9% of virtue names); also, I find Faith kind of...plain? Underwhelming? Yea, something like that. ^^

What if she grows up to be an atheist or something? Would be kinda ironic.

I would go for Faith, partly because I prefer that it doesn't have a nickname so your daughter won't have to correct people when they call her Liliana instead of Lily.
