What do you think of the twinsets 'Liam Jeremiah and Patrick Christopher' and 'Patrick Jeremiah and Liam Christopher? Also, which do you like better? :D

I don't have a problem with Irish either! I just think there's a slight mismatch. Patrick Christopher = very traditional, could be born in any era. Both Liam and Jeremiah are old names/nicknames, but are currently more popular than they have been previously in history. So I guess Liam reads more "modern" to me, especially when paired with Jeremiah. Switching the middles give it more of a balance to my ear. But as I said, both ways sound fine.

Yeah, I know Liam is popular, something that's turning us off a bit about it. Is Jeremiah getting popular again? I wouldn't know, I'm getting it entirely from my brother, who was named Jeremy. I haven't met many Jeremiahs (I'm a sub teacher), but a ton of Liams. I was actually pairing Liam and Patrick as first names because they're both Irish.

It's interesting seeing everyone's opinions. It wasn't til I asked until I realized the one I really like is Liam Jeremiah and Patrick Christopher. I think that might just be because if we have a single boy, which is more likely, I'd probably go with Liam Jeremiah, definitely not use Christopher.

It's funny how saying it out loud can clarify things. In any case the idea of twin boys is such a low possibility that it is likely you'll be using only one name at a time. It's a fun naming puzzle though. Twins are always a challenge trying to balance matching the feel of the names with giving the children their own identities. Your duo hits the nail on the head if you ask me.

Oh yeah, definitely not very likely, but I find myself contemplating twin names because we've finally turned to Clomid, which increases your chances of fraternal multiples, to help us get pregnant. And my first month didn't work so we're increasing my dosage, which makes it even more likely. I don't really really want twins or anything, but I'd be delighted (partially because pregnancy is so hard for me and we've waited and tried for so long).

And thanks! What a sweet compliment. I'm not purposely trying to be matchy, three of the names we're using are family names that just happen to go together, and Liam I just love. I don't mind twin names that 'go' well together, but I don't like themes or matching initials. I guess the boys' names are lightly themed, but I'm of Irish decent, didn't pick these names just because the first names are Irish. Our daughter's name was Brenna Rose, which I think goes nicely with the boys' names I like. Another possibility is Liam Edward or Edward Jeremiah, Edward for my husband (he's a third, and we're so gonna avoid making a fourth, but I've warmed up to his middle name).

I really like Edward too. If only for the nicknames Ned and Teddy! So adorable on a little guy. We are considering it for a boy if we ever have a second. I have secondary infertility since having my daughter four years ago...I know wayyy too much about clomid. I am excited and hopeful for you! I know of so many clomid success stories, and yes, lots of twins! :-)

My husband goes by Ted, so that's out for us, although I think it's cute. I think we've decided on Ward, unless we just go with Edward (I'm not a big fan of nicknames).


Ugh.. seems we have a lot in common. I'm suffering from secondary infertility as well, after having my daughter 6 years ago. I'm really crossing my fingers (and eyes and toes and ovaries) that it will work since PCOS and Hypothyroidism are my only known infertility factors and both of those are being treated and the Clomid helps well with PCOS.

Lol, yeah I know, which is one of the reasons why I like it paired with Patrick. I'm just interested in why others might find Patrick 'Irish' but Liam not.
