Mary Juana. It was originally told to me as a joke... like marijuana, but for some reason, I can't help but think that this name is EXTREMELY creative :\ Is that weird?

haha, I would too. And thank you :) definitely not having kids anytime soon, but every time I hear a name I particularly like, I immediately add it to my list. Unfortunately I heard a GREAT one yesterday :( it probably would have topped my girl's list, but I forgot it D< Oh well maybe it'll come back to me tomorrow :)

People name their kids Mary Jane (well, they used to; I don't think it's a popular name anymore). I think Mary Juana is too obvious though.

I don't dislike those names, but they're not my favorites.

I know, just a little rambling about the name; saying it's creative and stuff. But I WOULD NOT name my kid that, haha

The only one I like is Eli.

I know a TON of people named Eli... the names sort of losing it's luster for me, but I still like it :)

heh. I think it's creative because who would think to turn marijuana into a kid's name? but no, I wouldn't name my child that lol.

never done drugs. never will. (I do have the urge to see what it's like though) I don't want to lose brainn cells :) The only time I would try anything drug related is if it was perscription or just plain diet pills.

There is a real lady named Marijuana Pepsi. It's not really creative to name children after mind altering drugs...or anything else that will secure their place in the world as gas station attendant.

as I've said in my comments, i don't plan to name any of my children "mary juana" - just posting it to get it out there.

Cassie is one of my favorite girl's names (or just Cassia) so I really can't see it on a boy.

Eli & Billie Joe are awesome though. None of your girl's names are my style, but they're pretty!

yess! You're the first person to say they actually liked Billie Joe! And as for my girl names - I got delilah from plain white t's. You know their song "delilah"? Pretty name, and I could sing it to my kid when they're growing up. Is that a good enough reason? Mabye... mabye not though. I think it is.

When I was in Germany, there was a store called Maria Johanna. Now, I think that is creative. Mary Juana is obvious.

I like Eli. I don't really dislike any of the girl names, but I don't think I would use them, either. Billie Joe sounds like a nickname, for William Joseph. It sounds kind of...red-necky. I think Cassie would work better on a girl.

Haha, I think I really like Maria Johanna. (not because it's similar to pot - that was never my intention in the first place) It sounds pretty. Maria as a first name, Johanna as a middle... (am I strange or what?)

I see where you've disavowed any intention of using Mary Juana, so I'll forego the rant over that one. Your girl names are pretty good, my favorite is Delilah but all three are nice names. Not a fan of your boy choices-- Eli is fine, but Cassie is a girl's name, plain and simple. Though I've heard Cass on a boy before. Billie Joe is very redneck, but my main objection is the spelling-- Billie (as opposed to Billy) is officially the feminine version of the name.

aka., I'm not too gender-strict on names. Just because a boy has a girl's name doesn't mean he's any more feminine than he really is. At first I didn't like billie joe either, and Cassie for a guy would've sounded ridiculous, but I still see them as great names. (They're different...)

This is a bit of a pet peeve of mine. Parents can be as broad-minded as they choose, but that doesn't relieve them of the responsibility to consider what they're actually doing to their kid. Whether it's PC or not, whether it's right or not, a boy named Sue (or Cassie) is going to have an excruciating childhood.

All three girls names I love. I like Eli, and I love Cassie but for a girl (as a nn for Cassandra). I've known Mary Janes and I think that is cuter than Mary Juana.

haha, definitely cuter than mary juana... and I know many people can't see Cassie on a guy but I dunno... it seems like a really cool name. It sort of grew on me (you know the guy Kasey(sp) on american idol? I figured it from that :])

My cousin's aunt (about late 40's) is named Maria Juana. We are Cuban, so when they came over as kids it was obviously Americanized to Mary Jane- which we call her to this day. Because of this I can't see it as creative at all, just I guess more inconvenient or coincidental on her part...

On to the names! For girls, I love Margot! It's really beautiful. I really love Penelope too, but I can't get past it being a dog's name (that's the name for my next puppy). But that's just personally.

As for boys, the only one I LOVE is Eli. The others aren't really my taste.

Yeah... I like the names billie joe and cassie on guys for a reason. Chances are I wouldn't like them if I jst randomly pulled the names out of my butt :\ (haha, and what a coinky dink! My dad named his dalmation penelope, and I intend to name my kitten that when I get older...)
