I'm not going to try to get pregnant again for at least a year, but I've been thinking about what I would name another girl. I'm having trouble thinking of names I like that go well with my daughter's name. Her name is Aurelia May. I never realized how many names I liked that ended in -ia until I thought about how they were probably all out due to rhyming silliness.

If you had a child named Aurelia, what would you name her? Maybe some fresh perspectives will give me some ideas. Or maybe my next child will be a boy and I won't need to worry about it. =) Bonus for Italian or Polish names, as one of the reasons we picked Aurelia is because it was commonly used in both places and I'm of Polish heritage and my husband Italian. Baby would have a very Italian last name.

I personally wouldn't stress about having names that have the similar ending sound for siblings... my daughter is Anastasia Sophia and her baby sister-to-be will be named Cassandra Diana.

If you still are having difficulty consider using http://www.nymbler.com/

Ana and Cassie... well, those are their non silly nicknames:P

Their older brothers are Tristan Gwydion and Richard Joseph III. Richard goes by RJ since he's a third.

That would be because all female names in Italian have to end in an A.
All male Italian names end in E or O

This is the traditional rule anyway.

Names that come to mind are short and sweet sounding ones like Maya, Luna, Lyra, or Rosa. I also think of longer ones like Evangeline, Liliana, or Penelope.

K first I just want to say you sound so much like me, I love "-ia" names too, but worry about the rhyming (though I do think you could manage with another one if it has a different amount of syllables and different sounds in the first part of the name). I'm also of Polish heritage, and while my partner is not of Italian lineage, I've always been very fond of Italian language and culture so it's sort of my adopted heritage. :P

Anyways since I too am an "-ia" fan, names that I don't think would be too rhymey:
Sophia/Sofia
Lydia/Lidia
Lucia
Julia
Olivia
Portia - ok it's a bit out there but I've always loved it as a GP
Victoria

Other names that you might like, non "-ia":
Catarina
Violetta
Adriana
Viviana
Camilla
Carolina
Diana
Emma (I thought of suggesting Emilia, but I thought that actually be too too rhymey with Aurelia)

Hope I helped at all :)
