I have been leaning towards Oliver for a boy for a long time, but now everyone says the child would be teased horribly.  What do you think?  What about the name Noah for a boy?

I love Oliver. I'm not sure why he would be teased just for his name.

I used to love Noah, until I started working around little kids (under 5). It's a pretty popular name.

I think Oliver is fairly popular, I don't understand why a kid would be teased for it(even if it wasn't popular).

I'm not a fan of either name really, but I like Oliver more than Noah.

Really like Oliver. As long as you think the nn Ollie is equally as perfect!

i don't think he'd necessarily be teased, but i cannot picture the name oliver on an adult. i think it's a really cute name for a little boy but i think he'd have to have a certain personality to pull it off in adulthood so that it would be fitting and if he doesn't, it would just seem like his name is wrong.

i do love the name though. it's my dog's name.

and i love noah. i think it's gone down in popularity recently too so that's always good. solid, strong name. he will get ark jokes all his life though.

Why would someone named Oliver be teased?

that's true. really any name that any cultural figure has had will be teased that way, at least they're both innocent and not anything actually mean. it's nothing that would hurt his feelings, anyway.

Teased by kids nowadays? I don't think Oliver Twist is that popular of a reference, especially when they're younger.

LMAO those are both awful

i'm a little mean. i'm a long way off from having children (i hope anyway) but the main reason my favorite boy's name is elliott is because i want to call him smelliot so badly.

Oh wow, I thought it was more popular than that. I've seen/heard people mention it a lot, so maybe that's why I thought so.

I kind of think Noah could be teased about Noah's Ark just as easily as Oliver Twist. you know? :)

I love both Oliver and Noah. It really doesn't matter what you name your child because kids will find something about it to tease them horribly. That's what kids do.
