Bryony, for girls, as well!

I like a lot of botanical names, actually, when I think about it. My favorite is Linnea.

How about Rowan and Linden for boys?

Rowan, Linden, and Reed (usually I spell it Reid, though) are all on my list for boys. I have no idea how my taste in male names got so botanical. :P

Is Rowan a plant? I always thought it meant "little red one."

I like Daphne a lot. Willow is cute/pretty. And I think Meadow is pretty, but I don't think I'd be brave enough to use it.

I work with ferrets and every time we get a new group in we name them according to some theme. One of our sets were plants so we have Rosemary, Jasmine, Lavender, Ginger, Thyme, Sage, Violet, Iris, Orchid, Dahlia, Bramble, Magnolia, Sassafrass, Daisy, Daffodil, etc.

I have a childhood friend who named her son Briar... not overtly "plant-y", but still kind of cool.

Ahhhh, reading these names is like a breath of fresh air. I don't like all of them, but I at least like the IDEA of almost all of them. They're names with scent and texture and elegance. Though I'm not sure how Jade got in there, especially on a boy...

My best friend growing up was a girl named Jade. I've heard it on a couple other girls, never a boy... But I'd never heard of this Jade plant so clearly I don't know everything!
