A friend of mine went to school with these kids.

First came a boy named Moonbeam (they called him M.B. in school), next twins - Cinnamon and Ginger. Insert an interval of several years in which the parents stopped smoking pot and left the hippy phase of their lives behind. Then comes fourth surprise child. Her name is Sarah.

Haha! Ginger isn't THAT bad either, compared to the other two. Oh my, Moonbeam & Cinnamon!

I watched a documentary and some little girl's mom was called Cinnamon and I was just boggling at how she could walk up to someone and say "my name is Cinnamon."

I laughed out loud. A lot. That is amazing.

I'm conditioned to think of Ginger as a "normal" name, though. Moonbeam, though...oh my.

lol wow

that makes me feel bad for really all of the kids. Sarah probably feels like an outsider in her family and her siblings probably gave her a bit of a hard time just out of jealousy and then of course the older ones have to deal with the burdens of their names. Not a good situation overall.

Although i do have to agree, Ginger is probably the least awful one of the three insane names lol

i dunno i guess i let my personal experience cloud my perspective. I am the youngest by quite a bit and my siblings were all really mean and jealous towards me when i was growing up...

They could have at least gone with something like Rose or Iris for Sarah!

For real! As much of an abomination as Moonbeam is, Sarah lands with quite a thud after her siblings' names.

I wonder if the older kids had the, "Please name this one something normal" conversation with their parents before Sarah was born.

That's an interesting thought. I kind of hope so, rather than poor Moonbeam thinking "Geez, why is this one so special?"

I kinda like Cinnamon, haha. But with twin Ginger (not to mention Moonbeam), that's just too much.

Ginger is fine on its own, but paired with Cinnamon it's a bit much. Where's Nutmeg? Meanwhile, Moonbeam is on a whole other level of awfulness. Sarah really lucked out!
