I think it's a pretty name, but I can't help but think of a rich stuck up girl.

It's an okay name, but it feels to me like a hard, cold name, although that particular opinion could come from the fact that I've never met a sympathetic Veronica.

I like it. I might use it EXCEPT that my husband has an aunt named Veronica that goes by Ronnie. His family would definitely use that nickname, which I do NOT like. They are rabid nicknamers and so any names we choose are also chosen for potential nicknames (or lack thereof). That means Veronica is unfortunately out.

A side note, I grew up with a girl named Rhonica. Like Veronica without the Ve-.

lol my husband's family's the same way. You'd think they couldn't come up with anything for Noah, right? Wrooong. Noey and No-no are their favorites -_-

It's ridiculous, isn't it?! I named my daughter Jane Elizabeth and they tried calling her Elle'. That's right, with an APOSTROPHE AT THE END, pronounced "Ellie" which doesn't even make sense. Thankfully they live far away so it didn't stick. Plus I said flat out that we picked her name because we like it, we put a lot of thought into it, and we want people to call her by it. I mean, ELLE'?! If they had tried Liza Jane or Janie or freaking Liz I wouldn't have been as grouchy about it.

Elle' = Ellie

...WHAT.

PS - Jane Elizabeth is one the girl names I like, for family/personal reasons.

I like it. I actually have two students I work with at a college with that name and while they are pretty different in age, they are both sweet people and great students who have had to work hard in life.

I had a good friend named Veronica who often went by Vero. I liked it quite a bit. :)

Hate it; I don't like the way it sounds.

Also, I'm with [livejournal.com profile] harinakshi in that it reminds me of a stuck-up rich girl. Probably because of the Veronica from Archie. =/

Same! If there absolutely HAD to be a nickname I'd go with Vera.

I haaate the name Veronica, don't know why... it's a nice legit name and all but yeah... hate it for some odd 'just me' reason.

Love it. It's on my short list. The main thing holding me back is the lack of a satisfactory nickname.

Haha, I use that name as my "fake" name when I don't want to give out my real one. I like it!

I kind of like it, but it makes me think of Veronica, from the Archie comics :p who I occasionally like, but mostly she just irritates me lol.
