I'm watching "Quintuplet Surprise" on discovery health right now.

6 kids total.

Eliot
Ryan
Lila
Brooklyn
Britain *Edit* Excuse me. Britton.
Jack

Oh, by the way. The first 5 kids I named? GIRLS. Yes, Eliot and Ryan are girls. This is an American Family. Those poor girls are in for HELL.

Funnily enough, their MALE OB? Kaylen.

Heh.

I have a female friend named Ryan and I don't think anyone has given her hell for it. I also like Eliot for a girl but that might be because of my love for Scrubs. :)

Also, Lila and Jack are two of my favorite names.

Right. That's completely understandable. I know one and she's from a set of twins. Maybe that has something to do with it. Haha. :)

I knew a girl Rian pronounced Ryan, and met a Ryanne once too.

Never just straight Ryan though.

To me any spelling of it is masculine, but I might be biased since its my husbands name. :)

I've seen the first five on many, many girls before. I hardly think they're in for HELL. I go by a boy name, and no one has ever once teased me for it.

I do too. I don't even remember being teased in school.

I guess they are in the wrong area. I've been dani my whole life, and even just being introduced to other kids on playgrounds, birthday parties, school events, recitals, whatever... I have never ever once been made fun of for my name.

my friends, charlie, ryan, blake, daryian, andi, logan, alex and randi were also never teased.

I've never honestly seen/heard anyone teased more than a harhar for a name, my BF is Savannah, and past the Georgia reference she gets not much else.

the only name teasing I ever witnessed was "lol your name is kind of different" or "haha your name rhymes with some silly word" but it was never in a "fuck you I'm a bully" kind of way.

I totally had a friend named kelsey pickens and we all called her kelsey pickens her nose and omg it was so funny. it still makes me giggle. I actually just lol'd typing it.

I knew a dude named chris gains and when you say it in the right tone it sounds just like "I'M RICK JAMES, BITCH" so I was always saying "enjoy yourself" or "fuck yo couch!"

LMAO. "I'm dead bitch"

Yep. I'm a Georgia who goes by George and no one had ever bugged me.

And my friend in elementary school had a younger sister named Elliot. It worked beautifully on her.

I have a female cousin named Ryan.

I'm a Scrubs fan, too, so even though Elliott was our boy name, I like it on a girl, too:)

I like Elliott and Ryan on girls and I tend to have fairly traditional tastes in names. Not fond of the spelling Eliot, though.

Brooklyn and Britton really big me. Ew.

Love Lila.

Addison is Addison Elliot Rose. Addison is traditionally a male name, Elliiot also obviously.

I'm Jamie, Alex is a guy we have unisex names from the 80s and get mixed up as the mrs/mr on papers all the time.

I really like strong masculine names on girls with a softer name.

So who is to say that these "poor girls" don't have a similar reason for why they are named?

I was all for Elliot being her first name.

Really cause we call her Elizabeth about 90% of the time.

Actually we call all 3 elizabeth.

I only like Eliot (that spelling looks weird) and Ryan on boys.
I hate Lila and Brooklyn...and, well, Britton, now that I've heard it.

Hmmm. I -really- like Ryan on boys. Shame it seems to be used on girls a lot nowadays. =/

I prefer male names to stay male and female names to stay female, but that's just my preference. Isn't one of David Beckham's sons named Brooklyn?

Britton is silly.

Ryan would be pronounced Ree-AHN here, and I've seen it on a woman once...yet I agree, I like it so much better on boys. Elliot as a girl's name is a guilty pleasure of mine, but I prefer that on boys too, by far. Lila is pretty awesome, but Britton and Brooklyn are ugly, in my opinion.

Maybe I'm just too traditional, I am not a fan of giving boy names to girls.

I've met two female Ryans in my life -- one of them would be about 12 now, the other is about thirty (my cousin-in-law). Don't think either one of them had any trouble with it, honestly. Haven't heard Eliot for a girl but I could get used to it, especially with the Eli- beginning.

Additionally, "Britton" doesn't strike me as feminine. While I don't think they're "doomed" (they're certainly better than some of the crazy names that show up in here), I think they're going to be subject to a lot of confusion.

I know a female Ryan, and it kind of fits the girls I know with the name. Never actually met a girl named Eliot, but I've seen people on here mention liking it for a girl (Ellie could be a cute nickname!). I love Lila. Britton's not awful, but the only one I knew was a boy. I dislike the name Jack, because... well... I don't know why. But, it's not the worst thing ever, obviously. lol.

I don't get how they used three boy names for girls, a really pretty girly name, and then Brooklyn, which I think is awful (Brooke? Yes. Brooklyn? No). I just feel like Lila, as a girl name, sticks out against the others.
