Thoughts?

Ready, set, go:

Danica

Love it, but prefer Danika.

[identity profile] in-the-starlite.livejournal.com 2006-07-08 04:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Ditto. It's on my top 5.

[identity profile] itcouldbelove.livejournal.com 2006-07-08 07:38 am (UTC)(link)
Reminds me of Danica McKellar who played Wendy on Wonder Years. Not a huge fan, but it's not that bad.

[identity profile] xanya.livejournal.com 2006-07-08 09:16 am (UTC)(link)
That's who it reminds me of too, only from The West Wing. Anyway, I don't really like it 'cause it's kind of... plastic sounding. I don't really know how to explain it, but it just reminds me of some kind of plastic or synthetic material.

[identity profile] mysticamor.livejournal.com 2006-07-09 05:51 am (UTC)(link)
I think her name was Winnie(sp?). I'll admit I was a fan of the show.

[identity profile] itcouldbelove.livejournal.com 2006-07-09 06:55 am (UTC)(link)
I wasn't a fan, haha, I just recognized her name as Danica... and looked it up on IMDB and didn't pay much attention... I think you're right.

[identity profile] mysticamor.livejournal.com 2006-07-09 04:27 pm (UTC)(link)
haha! my husband just made fun of me for watching that show when I was younger :P *hangs head in shame*

[identity profile] thejoysofjess.livejournal.com 2006-07-09 11:20 am (UTC)(link)
The character's name was Winnie, but she was played by Danica.

[identity profile] mysticamor.livejournal.com 2006-07-09 04:25 pm (UTC)(link)
right.

[identity profile] sarahrose.livejournal.com 2006-07-08 07:47 am (UTC)(link)
I have a friend named Danika, but she/they pronounce it duh-NEEK-uh. It's all right. :-\

[identity profile] satunian.livejournal.com 2006-07-08 08:41 am (UTC)(link)
McKellar

[identity profile] missamerican.livejournal.com 2006-07-08 09:13 am (UTC)(link)
I don't like it.
It's a girl Dan.. eep?

[identity profile] cocinadelfeto.livejournal.com 2006-07-08 11:20 am (UTC)(link)
Danica Patrick. The race car driver. It's an okay name but I could never hear it without thinking of her. Then again, I kind of live in the racing capital of the world, lol.

[identity profile] muliebrity.livejournal.com 2006-07-08 01:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Same.
(Hello, neighbor!)

[identity profile] cocinadelfeto.livejournal.com 2006-07-08 01:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Hola!
Hey, didn't you go to Ball State?

[identity profile] thunderofsins.livejournal.com 2006-07-08 01:02 pm (UTC)(link)
I like it, but I think that thanks to Danica Patrick being what/who she is...its going to get more popular soon...especially in the South.

[identity profile] invisiblepet.livejournal.com 2006-07-08 01:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Mkes me think of Winnie Cooper!

It's okay. It doesn't excite me or make it to the List. :)

[identity profile] jenniferdunn.livejournal.com 2006-07-08 01:09 pm (UTC)(link)
I love it. I know a girl with that name who goes by 'Dani'. It's pretty.

[identity profile] shyloh.livejournal.com 2006-07-08 01:13 pm (UTC)(link)
I think it sounds prettier than it looks.

[identity profile] so-there.livejournal.com 2006-07-08 01:16 pm (UTC)(link)
sounds like a cross between danielle and monica. which is weird because I have a friend named Monica Danielle.

[identity profile] darabelle.livejournal.com 2006-07-08 02:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Don't like it.

I know someone with this name, and I never liked it. It has nothing to do with the person though; she's very sweet. Just not a fan of the name.

[identity profile] sayga.livejournal.com 2006-07-08 02:22 pm (UTC)(link)
i'm really neutral here. i wouldn't use it: i have no real feelings for or against it.

[identity profile] p-inkjeans.livejournal.com 2006-07-08 02:32 pm (UTC)(link)
I like it. I'm assuming you mean for a girl (maybe I'm wrong) and I love it for that. It's pretty, it's not completely out there, and if she does want it to be more common when she's older, she has the option of Dani as a nn, which I love.

[identity profile] chippyjem.livejournal.com 2006-07-08 02:59 pm (UTC)(link)
i really like it, recently it became part of my top 5 for girl names, but now i seem to see it everywhere :( i still like it tho, only danika because i am a k kind of girl.

[identity profile] poespretty.livejournal.com 2006-07-08 03:37 pm (UTC)(link)
too Winnie Cooper. although now it more makes me think of Danika Patrick, a woman car racer.

somedays I like it, somedays not so much.

[identity profile] ouronlylight.livejournal.com 2006-07-08 04:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Despite a few negative connotations (that racecar driver and this god-awful soap actress), I really like the name. It's a strong name, but still feminine enough, I think.

[identity profile] xnaivetex.livejournal.com 2006-07-08 06:48 pm (UTC)(link)
it was going to be Trey's name, had he been a girl.

It's still on the list for the next girl, though not as high as it was during the last pregnancy.

[identity profile] unfshine.livejournal.com 2006-07-08 07:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Don't like it. I just don't like the sound of it.

I like Annika though.

[identity profile] angelwifey.livejournal.com 2006-07-08 07:54 pm (UTC)(link)
no.

[identity profile] mrsduryee.livejournal.com 2006-07-08 08:22 pm (UTC)(link)
I certainly don't mind it at all. I think of Danica Patrick.

[identity profile] holly-megan.livejournal.com 2006-07-09 01:50 am (UTC)(link)
I like it, but I don't think I'd ever use it.

[identity profile] lilfaeriegirl.livejournal.com 2006-07-09 03:09 am (UTC)(link)
my mom is a big racing fan and suggested this to me.

i dont really care for it, but its alright. a cute nn could be Danni/Dani.

[identity profile] mysticamor.livejournal.com 2006-07-09 05:52 am (UTC)(link)
I like it a lot but spelled Danika

[identity profile] arbus.livejournal.com 2006-07-10 05:49 pm (UTC)(link)
ive never liked it. just too harsh sounding for me, i think.

[identity profile] ifancylust.livejournal.com 2006-07-10 08:28 pm (UTC)(link)
i've always liked it, but spelled dannica.
