One of my friends has a new nephew named Prescot. Thoughts? Mine are sort of mixed.

True! Prescott... Prescot. I don't know. Is Prescott the "accepted" spelling?

It sounds kinda uppity, but, I really like it. And, I think as long as it's not Brad or Biff or whatever, I'm all for it.

-Like [livejournal.com profile] serindipitous, I find it kind of wussy. Wussy and slightly nerdy, yet uppity... =/
-Agree that it would look better as Prescott.
-Makes me think of the word ascot, which makes me think of Fred from Scooby Doo. Lol, I don't know.

It's one of those place names/last names that needs to stay as a place name/last name.

It's NMS but I think Prescott is fine.

It makes me think of Skins, a British show. The real last names of two of the characters (they are twins) is Prescott. I like the sound of it, but I would never use it...too last namey (see: Kathryn Prescott (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kathryn_Prescott))

Something about spelling it with just one T makes it seem sort of pretentious.
