How in the world do you get "na-sheem" from Nallym?

I'm guessing it's more like na-zheem, in spanish speaking countries the "ll" is usually pronounced like an english Y but in some places (I think Argentina is an example) the "ll" takes on a "zh" or a "j" sound - my first year learning spanish in jr high, my teacher had this pronounciation so we were the only class saying "me 'zhamo'" instead of "me yamo" like everyone else :P

Though that just explains the prn. It doesn't look like a hispanic name (Myllan or Nallym), so maybe they're just trying to be edgy giving it a hispanic pronounciation? With some of the names we get in this community, who really knows?

Ok, I can see that as a possibility. I agree with you, it doesn't look like a Hispanic name. However, the school where I teach has predominately Mexican students, so I learn new names all the time. Maybe I'll meet a Myllan someday.
