ext_150185: Plantbert Oh Well (Adam Angry)

I was reading a news article about a 2-year-old boy who accidentally drank some of his father's White Russian. They were at a Chinese restaurant and the parents weren't paying attention to the child. The little boy's name is Jadm. He's fine, but I nearly vomited when I saw that.

Oh that's terrible. How would you even pronounce that?!

Perhaps one of the consonants might be a mute one, so it is either Jad or Jam.

I said it like the word Jam with a d stuck in the middle... that is NOT Jadem, not that Jadem is much better or anything but... jeesus.

Ugh. Your name shouldn't look like a giant typo.

Did you happen to see that article on Mock_the_Stupid by any chance? Based on the ridiculous behavior of the parents, I'm not surprised by the awful name choice. They mentioned there was a daughter, too, so now I'm curious to know what her name is.

The parents are idiots, trying to sue the restaurant (I thought I read that) calling 911 on them. I personally don't find fault with either of the parents for the fact that the kid managed to drink some of the alcohol, though. But Jadm is horrible.

As a child, I accidentally took a sip of an uncle's alcoholic drink. We were at a family gathering at my grandma's. My cousins and I were running around and being kids. I went into the kitchen and took a sip of what I thought was my glass of soda or juice off the counter. It was an honest accident on my part. My parents, grandma and various other people were in the room, I was even talking to my grandma when the event happened. She laughed at the face I made.

While the name sucks, things like this happen all the time. Mine was an honest mistake, I could imagine my parents being put onto the internet for it.

My daughter will drink ANYTHING in a cup, bottle, or can. She got ahold of a bottle of my husband's beer once. We're pretty sure she got at least a sip out of it, but according to my husband there was a decent amount missing:-[

Mistakes happen. It isn't that you're a bad parent. You didn't hand your child the drink. Kids grab whatever they want and your attention can't be on the 24/7, although you wish it could be.
