What are some super trendy/popular names that you don't want to admit you like?

There are some semi-trendy names on my top lists, including Addison and Austin, but I can think of 4 names I ADORE that are just too trendy to try.

Madison - I have liked this name since I was 5 years old, and I named a bunch of barbies after cities my Grandma suggested (among the other names were Helena, Savannah and Rosalia). I am 22 now. Went through a phase where I wanted to spell it Madyson, but I am over it now.

I also love McKenzie, which I have liked forever because I am originally from Oregon, home of the McKenzie River.

For boys, I love Parker and Josiah. The boys' names aren't as bad as my trendy girl names, but I dunno. They still seem like they try too hard to be different.

YOUR TURN! You know they're out there!

Aiden- I wish it weren't so popular. I first heard it on Sex and The City.

Kayla- when I watched the cartoon Gummi Bears as a little girl, I think the princess was named Kayla.

I also really like Emily, but I'm not really ashamed to admit it. It IS the most popular girls name though, which makes me sad.

I've really liked the name Isabella for a long time, but it's been so popular!

Jessica, and Sydney (Sydney's popular where I live)

Oh, I like Jessica too! I think it's really pretty but I've known too many in my life.

I know little girls with these names...

...and I really like them, even though they have that trendy feeling.

In order of favorites...

Kalista (like Calista)

Kalixia (kuh-licks-ee-uh)

Kaileah (ky-lee-uh)

Emma and Olivia. I think Olivia especially sounds really good with my last name, Verdier. But its so trendy and a good family friend already has a little girl with that name, so blah.

Mine is also Parker. I really don't have any for girls, I honestly despise all the tryndee names. Unless you count Isabelle and Emily as trendy. But those are more classic and I think you're referring to the flash in the pan Kayleighs and crap

I liek Alexander (no surprise there, but I wouldn't use it because it's fairly popular/common). I like Aiden and Jayden (but the rest of the -ayden names can bite me). For girls, I like Rain/Raina (not that it's too popular, just too...weird, I guess). I also like Olivia. I've liked Madison for a while as well. Ah, here's one to be embarrassed about. I like Saylor for a girl. Never would use it, but I like the sound of it.

Aidan, like the (hunky hunky) actor Aidan Quinn. I hate that SATC made this name so big. My cousin Carl's imaginary "little brother" is Aidan!

And then I guess Celtic or Celtic-inspired names are a big trend lately, and about 60% of my favorites are Celtic. Rhiannon's moving on up there.

I like Austin too! and Micah. I probably won't use either, due to popularity, but I would definitely use Austin if not for that. Micah I'd probably scrap because I have a BIL named Mike and I wouldn't want to look like I'm kinda naming a baby after him.

I think Nevaeh is really pretty....

JUST KIDDING, I still think it's a ridiculous name.

I don't think I like any 'trendy' boys' names although they're mostly all names that have been popular forever. For girls I like Brianna, and have liked it since I was about 14, but since then I've only met spoilt brats with that name. I still think it's pretty, because I love -anna names. I can't think of any other trendy names that I like though

I love Madison. It was my number one name from the time I was like 14 to 18. But now it's SO popular and I really wouldn't want to use it for that reason, but I still like it. I won't use it now, though, because my cousin just had a baby 9 months ago and named her Madison and she's dear to my heart, so I wouldn't name my kid the same thing.

Oh yeah, and I adore Aidan, too. I hate all the other -den/-dan names, but I've liked Aidan for awhile and of course, right after I started liking it a few years ago, it became the new big thing. Le sigh.

Girls: Madison, Addison, Madelyn, Olivia, Natalie, Riley, Rachel, Ariana, Gabriella, Charlottee

Haha, we definately have good taste then.
I've loved the names forever... or for as long as I can remember at least. :)

I like Caitlyn...at the daycare I work at, we've got a Kaitlin, Caitlyn and Katelyn. I like the look and sound of it, but not sure I'd ever use it due to its popularity.

Ava, Addison, Kennedy.

I've liked the name Ava since I was 14 (I'm almost 20 now) and I was so mad when it became so popular. However, I did start liking it because Reese Witherspoon had named her daughter that, but back then that name wasn't popular yet. Kennedy isn't terribly popular yet but it's well on its way there.

::sigh::

Jayden

The shame!

I am madly in love with the name Braydon, but I'm afraid that it goes along with jayden, etc. too much. But I'm not giving up on the name, it's been one of my favorite names since I was six. Jordan, as well.

And I love Ashley for a girl, but I'd never do that- way too common.

I love Braydon too. We're using Brady, though. And we don't care how popular it is! =P

When I was little I loved the movie Splash with Tom Hanks. When the mermaid decides to name herself Madison-- I fell in love with it. I wanted to have the name right up until I noticed it's popularity. The first time I had ever heard the name being used was when my best friend's niece was born. They named her Madison Grace.

I love the name Emma and Lillian! They're gorgeous and equally classic names. Although it's hard to go wrong with the oldies, it seems a lot of people pick these two.

I love the name Jack and Jacob for a boy. Even though these names are also timeless, they're used a lot. :( It sucks. If I ever have another son, I think I'd atleast use Jacob as a middle name.

i like emma.
but it was #1 or whatever for several years.
or rose as a middle name.
josiah is nice, and caleb.

oh and amelia is super common/trendy, but i love it. not this baby though...

I like Emma but that is the future niece's name. I like Isabella and Logan but they are too popular. I'll still use Logan but I think I've talked myself out of an Isabella. I will find a new way to get my name Ella. Logan I've loved forever. Some women choose the name Heaven from the VC Andrews book of the same name. I took Logan away from that.

I like MacKenzie, unfortunately it's ruined for me because i would never give that name to a girl. It means "Son of Kenneth"

Not daughter.

I can't shake "Emily". I think it sounds lovely and is one of the few girls' names that goes with my last name. My baby is going to have blue eyes, and I'm hoping for dark hair -- "Emily" on a fair-skinned dark haired little girl would be so adorable! Gosh darn its popularity!
