Admit it. Some of them you like.
Jul. 7th, 2006 03:13 pmThere are some semi-trendy names on my top lists, including Addison and Austin, but I can think of 4 names I ADORE that are just too trendy to try.
Madison - I have liked this name since I was 5 years old, and I named a bunch of barbies after cities my Grandma suggested (among the other names were Helena, Savannah and Rosalia). I am 22 now. Went through a phase where I wanted to spell it Madyson, but I am over it now.
I also love McKenzie, which I have liked forever because I am originally from Oregon, home of the McKenzie River.
For boys, I love Parker and Josiah. The boys' names aren't as bad as my trendy girl names, but I dunno. They still seem like they try too hard to be different.
YOUR TURN! You know they're out there!

Date: 2006-07-07 10:55 pm (UTC)Kayla- when I watched the cartoon Gummi Bears as a little girl, I think the princess was named Kayla.
I also really like Emily, but I'm not really ashamed to admit it. It IS the most popular girls name though, which makes me sad.

In order of favorites...
Kalista (like Calista)
Kalixia (kuh-licks-ee-uh)
Kaileah (ky-lee-uh)

Date: 2006-07-08 12:41 am (UTC)JUST KIDDING, I still think it's a ridiculous name.
I don't think I like any 'trendy' boys' names although they're mostly all names that have been popular forever. For girls I like Brianna, and have liked it since I was about 14, but since then I've only met spoilt brats with that name. I still think it's pretty, because I love -anna names. I can't think of any other trendy names that I like though

Date: 2006-07-08 03:32 am (UTC)I've liked the name Ava since I was 14 (I'm almost 20 now) and I was so mad when it became so popular. However, I did start liking it because Reese Witherspoon had named her daughter that, but back then that name wasn't popular yet. Kennedy isn't terribly popular yet but it's well on its way there.
::sigh::

Date: 2006-07-08 05:25 am (UTC)I love the name Emma and Lillian! They're gorgeous and equally classic names. Although it's hard to go wrong with the oldies, it seems a lot of people pick these two.
I love the name Jack and Jacob for a boy. Even though these names are also timeless, they're used a lot. :( It sucks. If I ever have another son, I think I'd atleast use Jacob as a middle name.
