So I like boys names on girls. I really do. And I know that sometimes you can take it too far, but I think I found the limit.

A friend of a friend just had a baby, and on her facebook she announced that her new DAUGHTER is Diesel James Harley.

I feel like it's way too masculine. That and it SCREAMS "MOMMY WANTED A BOY!"

I love James, and Harley is OK...I really don't like Diesel on a boy or a girl LOL. As a lover of boy on girl and girl on boy, I have to say that I think you have to balance it out...pair it with something that is classically masculine or feminine.

I like Diesel and Harley, but to me James it TOO masculine to be a feminine name.

Ew. I don't like Diesel (what's next, Unleaded?) or Harley on either gender. James is great... on a boy. Overall, just no.

Wow, all three are status brand names. That ups the yuck factor by 10.

I think it screamed "Mommy wanted a bike." personally.

I think it's because her parents want all the boy names to dry up and go away.

There are so many perfectly good girl names out there. WHY STEAL FROM THE SMALL POOL OF BOY NAMES?

The name would be ridiculous on a boy. On a girl? Just terrible.

I like the name Diesel, not that I'd ever use it (okay, maybe on a pet, or a nickname), and I like the combo Diesel James, but Harley? And on a girl? I like a few boy names on girls, but Diesel screams MAN.

Diesel is an awful name on ANYONE. Diesel James on a girl?? I hope she has lots of money for therapy later. Betcha twenty bucks she starts going by Dee or Dee-Dee as soon as she's out of mommy's sight.

I know a girl named Harley, I still don't know if it's because of the bike or Batman, but I don't really think it's that bad. And I've heard James on a girl too - I don't like it, and I really don't find it feminine at all, but it's really Diesel that pushes the name over into horrible.
