Friends of mine have just had their second daughter - Eliana joins big sister Isabella. With an Italian surname, I think that these are both pretty.

My cousin had a little boy a few months ago, called Ryan Phillip. Nice, normal, no particular opinion on it.

My other cousin plans to call her baby, if it's a boy, Phwelyn. I'm guessing at the spelling, as it's a made up name. Apparently it's from an RPG game that her and her husband play. It makes me sad. If the baby is a girl, they'll call her Chloe.

I love Eliana and Isabella. Ryan Phillip and Chloe are great. However, Phwelyn is horrible. WHY?!? How is it pronounced? It looks Welsh and would be pronounced Foo-ellun. That doesn't sound good at all. :(

Ryan Phillip = way too close to Ryan Phillippe for me. That's originally what I thought it said and I was like "holy crap." But that's probably only an issue for somebody who's into celebrities.

Don't care for any of them, really. Phwelyn looks like it could be a legit name, but the sound, whatever it's supposed to be, is ugly. Too bad it wasn't just Phelan or something.

I hadn't noticed it before, but around where I live, there is a surge in the use of Chloe/Khloe. Madison/Addison/Isabella are still the highest that I've noticed, though.

I know you said that Phwelyn is supposed to be pronounced "Fway-lun", but I want to pronounce it like "Foolin". And that's not good. At all.

Ryan Philip makes me think of Ryan Phillippe. It's not bad, though.
I like Isabella, and Eliana and Chloe are okay.

I am a gamer. Have been since there were video games (I'm old lol). I have used names I love for characters before (in fact most of my top names are currently in use in some fashion lol) and occasionally come across names I like on other peoples characters or in-game. HOWEVER.I would never give my child a game exclusive name. Especially one that doesn't sound pretty.
