[identity profile] rowan-belle.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
I'm sure there have been plenty of posts about the kids' very interesting names on Bravo Channel's 9 by Design. But I'm watching it for the first time and I'm pretty intrigued by Bellamy (girl). What do you think?

I'm not into surnames as first names. It could be worse, though. At least she can be called Bella or Amy.

Would you pronounce it Bella-me or Bell-amy or Bell-am-me?

Haha, intrigued was the exact word I used about that name when I posted their names a few days ago. I think I like it.

I grew up around a family with the last name Bellamy so that's all I can see in it.

I can see this being supertrendy soon. It has all the tweed-wearing cool kid cachet plus two fashionable sounds (people are already using the flipped Miabella).

I wouldn't use it, personally.

I think it's nice, but it's NMS. Sounds like it's on the cusp of being trendy.

I rather like the sound. Don't know if I would use it, though. It would make a nice name for a character...

It's very interesting. It appeals to me, but I don't think I like it enough to actually use it.

I knew a family with the last name Bellamy at my old church, so to me it will always be a surname only.
