i met a little girl today.

her name was caraboo (pronounced just like the animal) which i thought *might* actually be a smidge cute, until she spelled it out for me.

(the girl was adorable, but after she spelled it out, i couldnt stop thinking that it was the kind of name that belongs on one of the Who's from Whoville)

also,

serayah (pronounced sir-aye-ah)
ciana (pronounced sigh-anna)

all girls, age 4 and 5.

I hadn't been familiar with that story before. That's interesting.

But the name is still terrible.

That would be a cute nickname for someone named Cara, but a legit name? Hell no!

Serayah looks like a creative spelling of Soraya, but I much prefer the latter. Ciana is not my style...and it makes me think of cyanide.

Sariah is a name from The Book of Mormon, a pretty awesome lady, in fact, and I've always loved her name. Maybe they intended Serayah as a version of Sariah??

Caraboo definitely made my mind jump to Princess Caraboo. As someone else said, cute nickname for Cara/Caroline, but not as an actual name!
