Is it like E-ko or Echo?

In that case, different, but not horrible. I'd see it on a girl, though, it seems like it'd be a pretty feminine boy name.

I think of LOST and therefore male ... even though he was Mr. Eko, same thing.

Not fond of it.

Pronounced Echo I'm guessing? I'm not really a fan when it's spelled Eko...very confusing to people as far as pronunciation goes. If I saw it as someone's name, I'd assume they were Indonesian. If it's a family name I think it's a prime candidate for middle name, not so much a first name.

Just makes me think of the Japanese exchange student my family hosted. her name was Etsuko but she went by Ekko (pronounced "echo").

There was a Kenyan exchange student on my university called that, only he spelled it differently. So I'd say boy.

If it were spelled Echo, I'd say girl, though! I knew a Chinese student called that, and I think it's really pretty.

I had a friend whose daughter's name was Echo. I thought it was different and actually lovely, haha.

With the spelling tho, it might be easier to use as a middle name for either sex.
