[identity profile] familyguez.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames

We still can't decide on a name for our new female yellow lab. The name Zoey is really stuck in my head but I am hesitant to use it because my nieces name is Zoey. So, I was thinking,... Bowie? It says its a boy name (but I don't really mind) and my source says Bowie means 'blonde'. Which considering she's almost white, is too perfect.

So, Bowie? Or Nowie? Haha, I'm so corny. If your answer is the latter, please suggest something and help us out!

OH MY GOD, adorable! Corgis are great.

And as for the little yellow lab who needs a name, since "fml that puppy is illegally adorable and I give up" isn't a good name, I think Bowie is great! Labs are such wonderful creatures.

I suggested Lily the last time you posted, and I'm sticking to it! ;)

I wouldn't name her Nowie because she might think you're telling her "no".

My husband had a dog named Snowball but whenever they said her name she thought they were saying "no ball" and she got sad. So they had to shorten it to ball.

Bowie is good, or just Bow. I also like the previously suggested Chloe and Lily.

Other suggestions...
Daisy
Honey
Poppy
Goldie
Sandy
Sunny
Butter
Sundance
Thisbe
Phoebe
Xanthe (Derived from Greek ξανθος (xanthos) meaning "yellow" or "fair hair".)
Tegan (Derived from Welsh teg "fair".)
Eilwen (Perhaps means "white brow" from Welsh ael "brow" and gwen "white, fair, blessed".)
Eirwen (Means "white snow" from the Welsh elements eira "snow" and gwen "white, blessed".)
Whitney (From a surname which was originally derived from a place name meaning "white island" in Old English.)
Zohar (Means "light, brilliance" in Hebrew.)

My husband suggests Winnifred.

Good luck, she's super cute!

I don't think Bowie would be a very good name for a girl dog.

I like a few names that [livejournal.com profile] speakingsoul suggested. Sunny (Sunshine), Sandy, and Phoebe are adorable. I had a very light haired dog a couple of years ago and I named her Hunny. So, Honey would be cute too, I think.

Bowie is great... or you could alter the prn and call her Bow-ee instead of B-oh-ee.

I also like Sandy. I had a dream that I had a female golden lab I named Jasmine/Jazz.
