Just saw a little girl on the bus carrying a backpack with Anahnndaleira written on it.

WHY?

That reminds me of a girl I used to go to school with, Araenichelliana (she went by Rae).

Must've been a wide backpack if you could still read that. O_o

Of course giving a child the longest name possible is a good idea. Fo' sho'.

I'm guessing Uh-non-duh-leer-uh might be the pronunciation...maybe? The kicker is, you can totally tell that the mother spelled it phonetically to try and make it easier to pronounce. FAIL.

Okay, WHAT???

I'm usually pretty good at deciphering butchered names, but oh my God... is that even a name? That's atrocious!

Poor little girl for having to spell that.

was it written by the kid? maybe she just strung a bunch of letters together!

Well... Ananda Lyra would have been a nice enough name.

It looks as though the parents just got mad and punched the keys of the keyboard and chose the random arrangement of letters as a name.

That's painfully bad. I also hate names that it looks like the parent wrote out so everyone (including themselves) knew how to pronounce it.

Sounds like a particularly brutal tropical disease.

Actually, it sounds like a beautiful name... from a distant jungle tribe or something... but that spelling, if you can even call it that, is truly unfortunate.

I saw the name and read it as "Anna-Deliria," personally. I really hope it's from another language and not a creative name because no one here even knows how to say it.

And my mom didn't want to name me Ashleigh because she was afraid I'd have trouble spelling it.
