Family Tree and Recurring Names

So a few weeks ago I was visiting family in Scotland and they gave me a copy of our family tree dating back to the eighteenth century. Here are all the names, and since so many are repeated I figured I'd put the number of how many times they were used before I got to the part of the tree where middle names were included. For instance, at the top of the tree there are several Mary's without middle names attached, but lower down there are Mary Janet and Mary Edwards.

I knew there were lots of family names on that side of the family but I did not expect so many multiples! Also, I am actually a bit disappointed I did not run into any unusual names except for Phallen and maybe Bona. However, I do like most of these names so good job ancestors!

So my question is, do any you know of recurring names in your families? Do you like them? Would you use them yourself?  I would use a few of these but as middle names only. I would like my child to have his or her "own" name so he or she wouldn't feel like one of many Margarets or Johns.

I can't trace our family as far back as you with as many names as yours, but from what I know the most popular names are Belle, May/Mae and Dean. I like Belle, but probably wouldn't use it; I like Dean, but probably wouldn't use it because it's my dad, and so then I'd feel bad that I didn't use my mom's name somewhere too; I don't care much for May/Mae, so I would never use it.
