So I was poring over old family photos and I found one of my ouma and her sisters... I only ever met two of them, so the name theme was never in my head til recently, but they are:

Letty
Betty
Hetty
Netty
And my ouma... Bernadine.

Now I'm usually not a fan of "naming themes" but I feel like they should've just found another rhyme, haha. It seems like the balance shifted.

WDYT? Any similar themes in your family?

my mother is anita, my sister is adena and i'm alora - all start and end with A! it was an accident, though. my brother doesn't fit in, he's ronnie.

My FIL has, like, 7 siblings...he's the youngest. All 7 have names that start with J and he's Alex.

none in my family that i can think of, other than all my nieces, including my daughter, all there names either start or end with an A!

but i know a family:
mother - Paula
father - Paul
daughter - Paulette
daughter - Paula.

My mom and her siblings are Susan, Sharon, Shirley, and David. In my dad's family all the boys have classic names (David, Anthony, Timothy, Andrew) while the girls have trendy 60's names (Cris, Lori, Wendy).

I went to school with sisters called Susie and Suzanne and there are brothers in the nursery I work in called Leon and Leroy and their little sister, Leigh.

I don't think there are any naming themes in my family though.

My grandma and her sister were Mary and Marion.

My mom's sister is Suzanne Marie and my mom is Ann Marie. All three of their brothers have the same middle name. My grandma failed at naming.

I don't think there's any naming themes in my family, but I know a family who has Falan, Caden, Kelson, and Gentry. everyone was thinking they'd name the last boy Aldun or Carsun or something.

There are no real naming themes in my family immediate family that I can think of. However, I found out that my aunt Debbie's sibset is

Debra Ann (my aunt)

I guess they, too, got bored of the theme when they had the last child!

My grandmother just passed away, but she and her sisters had a theme..mostly lol:
Mary Geraldine (Gerry)
Mary Amanda (Molly)
Mary Gloria (my gram)
Mary Laverne
and
Audrey Rita

They all went by their middle names, or the nn i listed.

It continued tho.. my Gram named my mother Mary Ann, and then i became Heather Mary. My aunts are Judith Ann, Carol Ann (i believe), and Margaret Jane, who was named for my great-grandmother.

I'm pregnant with my first, and plan to use Margaret for a middle name if it's a girl in honor of that aunt, who i was very close to and has also passed.

That reminds me of that movie Heathers, where everyone in the clique is named Heather, except for Veronica.

My grandmother named my aunts names that start with M, and my mom named my sister and me names that start with C, but I don't think either of those was on purpose.
