[identity profile] tallc00lone.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames

Recently I baby sat a little girl named Casadi, and her sister Deanna. But we're not talking about Deanna here, we're talking about Casadi *smile*

Well, I personally despise creative spellings, but I find myself completely in love with the sound and spelling of Casadi, because I adore the little girl. But would it be completely stupid to want to name a future child after a toddler with an awfully butchered spelling?

I know that I'm sixteen, and not planning on having children anytime soon, and I also realize that Casadi doesn't exactly fit along my name list, but I am completely in love with the name.

Cassidy would be better, or even Cassady, but I really, really like Casadi.

But here's the point of this post: I just got a new kitten (my seventh cat... ek!) and I want to name her Casadi, because I'm the type of person who names my animals after my favourite names.

Would it be stupid to put the name Casadi on a cat with that spelling, or should I just change it to Cassidy/Cassady and get over it?

Sorry if this seems rambled and confusing, but I didn't get any sleep last night, so, sorry.

Use it for a cat quick before you can use it for a kid! Ick. It makes me want to say "Kuh-Sah-Dee".

Me too, but I think I like Kah-SAH-Dee better than KASS-Ih-Dee.
I like it for a cat. Not for kids though, too confusing.
