Anna / Anne / Ann
Mar. 17th, 2010 05:45 pmWhich one do you like more? Is there any reason for liking one more than the other?
Also, what middle names go well with either of those?
(I am trying to make up my mind... it has a sweet history in our family, my husband is so in love with the name, and so is everyone else - but not me, at least for now).
Thank you!

Date: 2010-03-18 08:32 am (UTC)I think I just have a preference for shorter vowel sounds rather than the long drawn out "A" in Anne.
Plus I think that Anne is a bit more dated.. these days you are far more likely to see Susanna, Rosanna or Diana rather than Suzanne, Roseanne and Diane. Not that any of them are common names now, just that the -anne names sound more dated to me if that makes sense.
