Sarina is Sah-REE-nah, Serena is either Say-REE-nah (english phonetics) or Say-RAY-nah (latin phonetics)

I love the name Hotaru! My kitties were named Sushi and Mochi. I loved the names as a pair. Plus Sushi was gray and I called him Susu(sooy) and Mochi was orange and I called her Momo(peach.)

I'm not big on the Asian based names. I love Juliet especially on a hamster.

I love the name Serena (but "sah-REN-ah, not "ser-EE-nah")

Sah-rina and SER-ina. ICK.

I also don't care how other people pronounce it. I care how English speaking folks in America will pronounce it - likely no matter how many times you correct them. ;)

And it's not that big a deal because we're dealing with pet names, not a sibset.

And how do we know the OP still owns both pets?
