Most of these names are pretty nice. However, I think Reslynn is really weird, and Joyanna sounds like a messed-up version of Joanna or Johanna.

Also, if you're looking for unique names, I wouldn't go with names that contain the -aid sound ;).
I really like Elijah and Ellie, and Julianna is nice too!

Other suggestions (quite a lot of J's):
Sophie
Jillian
Josephine (Josie)
Jelena (it's Russian)
Juliet
Joni
Geneva
Juna

I'm sorry I don't have to offer any boy names! I'm worse with those ;)

I like most of those names (which is rare b/c I'm picky too!), except I've sort of been turned off by Aiden and names that rhyme since they are SO POPULAR now.

I also prefer Josiah to Jessiah.

I love Micah, Elijah, and Collin. Jedidah and Aiden are okay, though not my style. Jessiah, no offense, sounds like a girls' name like Jessie or Jessa or something. I love Jesse for a boy, but Jessiah is a bit much. But Micah, Elijah, and Collin (I prefer Colin with one l) would all be great names for a boy.

Jocelyn with one n (the extra n looks tacky), Julianna, or Ellie are all great names. Joyanna looks smooshed together -- Joy Anna would be okay, or Joanna, but Joyanna looks really weird. Jaden/Jayden/Jaiden is all boy to me and, like Jaeda, sounds super trendy and slightly trashy these days. Reslynn is pretty awful, too. But Jocelyn, Julianna, and Ellie are all great. Even Joyanna wouldn't be awful, though I think Joy Anna would be better.

I like Micah and Elijah, and kind of like Jaiden, but on a boy.
Okay: Aiden, Collin, Julianna, Ellie. (Ellie seems like a nickname...)
Neutral/Have no real opinion about: Jaeda. It kind of looks weird to me, though... =/
Hate: Jessiah, Jedidiah (I think this one is hideous), Joyanna, Reslynn.

Ah, I missed Jocelynn. I don't like it. Either way, I'd lose the extra N.

Um, picking a name on the basis that no one else likes it... not a smart idea. Not many people want to go through life with a name that provokes an "ew" from every person they meet. I mean, if you talked about naming your child Poop, no one would like that. It sure doesn't make it a good idea for a name.

I am assuming you meant to use the word retarded instead of "reatrded". Either way, it is offensive and has no place on this blog.

Some of us (myself included) have friends and family members with disabilities. By using the term as an insult, you are being incredibly offensive. The same applies to gay.

I'm young. Probably younger than you are. If you think you have to be eighty to show your fellow human beings some common decency... well.

Of your names, I like Julianna, Micah and Collin. The rest sound trashy.

It's ok if you don't find it offensive, but others do. And speaking with decency is not a sign of age, it's a sign of respect.

I seriously can't tell if you're trolling or not, and I don't care enough to look any further into it. but you should probably grow up a bit and maybe learn how to spell.

"as long as it's readable it's good to me" lol okay. I can type in perfectly comprehendible sentences with real words that are spelled correctly, even when I'm taking care of up to four children. also, if you were grown up enough you would understand the hurt implicated by saying things like "that's so gay" and "that's retarded", you might also understand that they're not "just terms". or maybe you just decency?

by the way, the spelling comment was about your names.

Being new at mothering isn't a free pass to be insenstive and make an ass of yourself. I had my kid when I was young and I managed to act like a civil person and didn't make a total ass out of myself.
Just because you don't whine about things people say to you doesn't make it okay for people to say horrid things. And there is a small difference between you personally being offended and disparaging an entire group.

and spelling a name "the way you want" can still mean it's spelled wrong.

Micah and Elijah are nice.

Jocelyn is nice, not Jocelynn. I also like Julianna. I like Ellie as a nickname.

Reslynn is cracking me up because it sounds just like Restylane (pronounce like Rest-a-lyn), which is a filler that has some of the same affects like botox and it helps reduce wrinkles.

Jaiden, Aiden, and Jaeda are terrible. Joyanna is pretty bad too in my opinion.

Not really. Ashley is the real spelling. Just telling it like it is, which I think you deserved after that post.

If you're looking for unique names, throw Aiden and Ellie out the door this instant.

I like Micah, Elijah, and Collin (though I prefer Colin). Jedidiah sounds too much like a redneck punchline. I have never heard of Jessiah and I'm pretty sure it would get constantly mistaken for a girl's name.

I like Jocelynn (prefer 1 n), love Julianna. Jaiden is very much a boy name to me, Jaeda is too retarded, as you put it, but Jade is nice. Joyanna is okay, I guess, but very backwoodsy. I don't like Reslynn AT ALL.

If I was going to pick from your lists, I would go with Micah and Julianna.

I really like Micah, Elijah, Collin and Julianna. I am fine with the other boys' names too except I think Jessiah could be mistaken as a girls' name these days with the huge popularity of Jessica over the last few decades.

The girls' names are all fine to me too except Reslynn. I think I would be ok with it except for the fact that when I read it, I hear the word "wrestling".

Some more J names:

James, Joshua, Julian, Jacob, Jethro, Jeffrey, Jasper, Jude, Judah, Joseph, Jeremy, Jonathan

Juliet, Jade, Jane, Janine, Josie, Jasmine
