(no subject)

Some names I've come across recently:

2 different friends named their kids...

Rheanne Gail (Pronounced RaeAnne, ugh)
Braxton Peterson Lastname

WDYT?

RaeAnne is bad. IDK it just sounds redneck-y to me.

Braxton isn't horrible, but it reminds me of Braxton-Hicks contractions.

Yeah, it sounds like Rhianne with a southern accent.

In some countries/cultures the 'e' is pronounced as 'ay', so I can see it. In America, it doesn't make much sense though. I suppose everyone will pronounced it Ree-anne at first glance.

Braxton reminds me of braxton hicks (I'm a midwife)

I'd love Rheanne if it were spelled Rayanne. The rest, I'm not so big on. I especially hate the repetitive -on sounds in the Braxton Peterson.

I don't mine Rheanne - spelled Rianne though. Braxton and Peterson are both nice, but not together.
