(no subject)

For our twins, my SO and I have decided on one male and one femal name. We still don't know the sexes, so are looking for another one of each sex.

We already have two children:

Ashton Thomas Rhys (first name was the street my SO and I had our first home together on, middle names for close friends)
Elsa Shauna Abgail - nn Elle. (both middle names for my SO's dead sister)

For the twins we've decided on:

Madeleine Sophie (middle name for my sister)
Lewis Jonathan  (middle name for daddy, granddad and great grandad, also a cousin that died at birth)

We're considering

Male:
Simon
Liam  (but we think may be too similar to Lewis)
Henry (SO thinks it may be too "old man" sounding)
Nicholas (the name we would have called Elle had she been a boy)
Edward (after my granddad)

The middle name will be Daniel after my SO's sister Danielle.

Female:
Louise (after SO's sister
Eva
Leah
Imogen
Georgina (the name we would have used had Ashton been a boy)
Grace (but we're worried it's a little too over used)
Adele (but we think it's too close to our other kids names)

We dont as of yet have a middle name idea.

We'd also like any suggestions if you have any.

I like Liam but agree it might be too close to Lewis. I love Henry, probably from reading too much Jane Austen haha. I can see your SO's point but I think would be cute on a little boy. I also like Nicholas.

As for the girls, I think Eva would be too close to Elle, but I like Louise, Leah, Grace, and Adele. If my best friend was having a girl she wanted to name her Adele.

Hmm, suggestions. Charlotte, Emily, Emilia/Amelia, Evelyn (nn Evie, one of my friend's daughters), Lucy, Matthew, Benjamin, Caleb

Henry is top on my boy list. It is a bit old man, but I like the old man and old lady names that are making a come back (within reason - I'm still not using my grandmother's name, Bertha). I'm still trying to convince my husband, though.

I love Simon and Liam for a boy, and Adele and Louise.
Maybe it's not a bad thing that are close to your other kids names

i agree with others suggestions, but i would like to add that i wouldnt use lewis and louise. other than that, i think youre good. :)

i really like madeleine sophie.

from the others you have picked out, i love henry, edward, eva and louise.

i like grace but its way too overused, i agree. we named our kitten that because i knew we could never use it on a child now.

i think adele is nice too, but perhaps too close, especially to elle.

also, i love the name georgia, but not georgina. just a suggestion.

Simon! That's my second favorite boy's name! =) I think Simon & Lewis sounds fantastic. Same goes for Eva & Madeleine or Madeleine & Louise!
I also like Imogen...but Imogen & Madeleine sounds odd to me.

Henry or Nicholas, and Georgina or Imogen. I love all of those names and think they go great with your other kids' names. And I find it funny that your DH thinks Henry is an old man's name-- I can't really picture it on an old man at all, and it's really in right now.
