Middle name

What are some 1 syllable "J" names for a baby girl? We already have James and June for our existing daughters. I'm a Jeanne and Daddy is James, as well. These are all middle names.

Her first name will likely be Harper.

Jude is on the short list. Our June was almost Jude.
I love Jane but have a cousin named Jane Harper and DO NOT want people to think I'm naming after her! LOL.

jude is my husbands middle name, but i also know a woman who goes by jude, so it can be either, imo. i prefer june but its another option :)

oh i know the feeling of loving a name but not wanting to think its an homage to someone in your life with the same name. boo! :)

Usually I don't like mixing and matching genders with names, but I really do like Jude on a girl.

That's my first pick, Harper Jude, but we already have a girl with a masculine middle name. We went with Scarlett June instead of Scarlett Jude for that reason, too. We just don't want to over-do it, ya know?

Eh, I think it's ok. It's just middle names, and they won't be a "sib-set" forever, you know? Besides, Jude is a perfectly acceptable short form of Judy.

OH, and our oldest goes by Jimi since we found out after the fact that we used both grandma's names to make the trendiest name EVER....Kayleigh. Blah. So, Kayleigh James is either KJ or Jimi now....rarely Kayleigh. I cringe everytime I see snarky comments about the name, but it is familial to us so I think that alone gives us a free pass. LOL.

I really like Harper Jules. :) It's a tad bit girlier than Jude, and I think Harper is unisex enough that a really masculine middle name might make it seem like a boy's name rather than a girl's name. Harper Jill is another suggestion I like. Or why not go with Harper Jeanne, since your other daughter got the father's name?

I can't really think of anything that hasn't been said, except maybe Jewel..but that sounds potentially tacky...I don't know.

Harper Jean/Jeanne is one that we've talked about a lot. I've had Harper on my mind since I was a little girl and realized it could be a first name but it was shot down with my first two daughters. My husband is only just coming to appreciate it..and wouldn't you know, it's getting trendy. Blah...I don't care though. It's to honor my grandma and her maiden name was Wilma Jean Harper. Harper Jean would tickle her to death.

I really like H. Jules, too...not something we've ever discussed.
