A month Late...
Feb. 7th, 2010 10:51 amMy mom came by last weekend and brought an old local newspaper with an article listing the most popular names at our hospital for 2009. (I don't get the paper myself, so hadn't seen this before)

Ashley (7)
Runners up:

Daniel (9)
Matthew (9)
Michael (8)
Dylan (8)
Andrew (7)

What do you think? My thoughts in the comments.

Date: 2010-02-07 03:57 pm (UTC)Olivia is a name I've always disliked.
Brooke has strange memories for me, it was a boss I hated and the name I chose as an alter-ego on a web forum when I was younger.
Nothing special with Ashley, Grace, or Elizabeth. Not a big fan of Isabelle, like Isobel better but even then just eh.
Daniel I like a lot, same with Matthew. Michael not as much. Surprised to see Dylan there. Andrew is my brother's name, but I don't like it. Benjamin is a name I would consider. Ryan is my hubby's name so it's out.
Glad to see only Jayden on the list, not any of the other -aydens. Samuel, Alexander, and Lucas are all good names.
Honesty is too puritan for my tastes, same with Serenity. Clementine sounds like a celeb name. No idea what Mitley is, maybe a surname used as a first? Doesn't sound girly to me. Eden is cute, Piper is a favorite of mine, Farrah is not my style, Harper I dislike a lot, Brooklyn I also dislike a lot.
Wisdom sounds like an old man name to me, same with Atticus. Myles sounds British, Terrence doesn't seem that unusual to me?, Thorne is the name of a character in the book I am reading and it's a GP name. Fearghus is awful. I have an uncle Winston, it fits him well.
