Feb. 4th, 2010 04:23 pmMy husband and I have had baby names picked out since September, but I'm still a little stuck on a second middle name question.
The background story is that I kept my own name when I got married. I don't regret it, but I do feel a little odd that the baby won't have my last name. Hyphenating is out because the name would be stupid long (Bukowski-Mangefrida) and because I just don't really like hyphenated names. So I thought that maybe I would use my last name as a second middle, just so that it's there, but not something that the baby would be saddled with using on a daily basis. Do you think that it's still too much? The name would be Aurelia May Bukowski Mangefrida or Dominik James Bukowski Mangefrida if I did it that way. All and all it really wouldn't be the end of the world if my name wasn't there, but it's something that just keeps niggling at me and with less than ten weeks left, I feel like I should really make a decision.
*Thank you guys so much! I'm feeling a lot more confident about this now!
