I don't think it's too trendy--I can see Finn becoming slightly more popular, and Ella is pretty popular, but Finley and Evelyn, while steadily used (at least where I am) are not super trendy at this point.
I LOVE both first names, but am not too fond of the middle names. Too common. If I were to go with these names, I wouldn't shorten them, I'd keep them Finley and Evelyn.
Yeah, I asked about the previously and people were about 50/50 on Ella as a nn for Evelyn. I really like Ella but its a bit trendy at the moment and Evelyn is a family name so, in my head, Evelyn is to Ella what Elizabeth is to Betsy, it kind of works.
