I don't think it's too trendy--I can see Finn becoming slightly more popular, and Ella is pretty popular, but Finley and Evelyn, while steadily used (at least where I am) are not super trendy at this point.

i prefer finnegan to finley, and think evie is a better nickname than ella, but i love them both, really! dont find them trendy at all.

I LOVE both first names, but am not too fond of the middle names. Too common.
If I were to go with these names, I wouldn't shorten them, I'd keep them Finley and Evelyn.

I love the name Evelyn, but my cousin already used it for her little girl. Bust! I think Finley sounds trendy, though.

I really dislike Finley/Finn/etc. I know lots of people dig them. I'm not one of them.
