I love the name Kaya, never heard of Akemi.

Akemi is Japanese. It means "bright and beautiful/brilliant beauty" or something like that, I think.

Just out of curiosity, how is Akemi pronounced? I'm thinking Ahh--kum-ee, but I could be wrong. If this IS the way it's pronouned, I really like it!
